July 7th -
World Tibet Day Concert
to celebrate HH the 14th Dalai Lama’s 72nd Birthday
Venue: Ithaca Room, City Hall
An evening of beautiful music by 2Horsemen and a very special public talk on Compassionate Meditation by one of the foremost Tibetan teachers Geshe Tashi Tsering.
Geshe- Tashi Tsering is an exceptionally well-qualified Tibetan master, with over 45 years of experience in all aspects of Buddhist theory and practice. He has a skillful understanding of the western mind and is a warm and enthusiastic teacher.
2 Horsemen are Tenzin Choegyal (Tibet) on Vocals, Dranyen and flute, and Baatar Sukh (Mongolia) master of his horse headed fiddle, Morin chuur and throat singing. The combination of two great vocal techniques and powers of expression makes it a unique duo. Both being from nomadic traditions; in their songs one could feel the vastness of space, appreciate the beauty and the innocence of the nature.
